Having successfully launched the appeal, St John's Project is now looking for more volunteers to welcome visitors from all over the world. We need volunteers to work in our small shop or to act as guides. The Project team, at the moment, can only run four days a week. We want enough volunteers to open six days a week. Read More

The Duke of Westminster representing HRH The Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester will tomorrow (28 April 2009 at 10.30 am) unveil a Triptych containing the Armorial bearings of HRH and St John's, together with his own (Grosvenor) and those of the Lord Bishop of Chester, the City of Chester and the Rector of Chester. Duke launches 10 million pounds appeal to rebuild embargoed untill 10.30am 28th April 2009

Today (at 1030 on Tuesday, 28th April 2009 in the church) the Duke of Westminster will launch an appeal for 10 million pounds to rebuild the magnificent St John's Church in Chester. The funds will help to pay for major building work - the biggest in the church since the Middle Ages. Read More
